Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety doesn't always manifest
as panic.
Sometimes it manifests as constant restlessness, silence, or a desire to maintain control until it becomes impossible.

Does this sound familiar?

• Your mind races even when life looks fine on the outside
• You lie awake replaying conversations or planning for every worst case
• You say yes when you mean no - and then feel exhausted by it
• Worry has become your default setting
• You've been told you're "too much" or that you "overthink everything"
• You function - sometimes exceptionally well - but at a cost you're starting to feel

I've worked with a lot of people who would describe themselves as fine - successful, even - and yet spend an extraordinary amount of energy managing something quietly exhausting that no one around them can see

Anxiety is not a character flaw. It's not weakness. And it's not something you have to white-knuckle your way through forever.

Many of my clients are high-functioning people who've been managing their anxiety for years - sometimes decades. They're not falling apart. They're just tired of fighting themselves.

If that's you, you're in the right place.

HOW I TREAT ANXIETY
Evidence-based approaches that go beyond "just breathe"

I draw on a combination of approaches tailored to you - not a generic protocol.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
We examine the thoughts and patterns that fuel your anxiety, and build practical tools to change them. CBT for anxiety is one of the most rigorously researched treatments for anxiety disorders available.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Rather than fighting anxious thoughts, ACT helps you change your relationship to them so they lose their grip. You learn to act in line with your values even when anxiety is present.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
Grounded in decades of research, MBSR builds your capacity to observe your inner world without being controlled by it.

I adapt my approach to you rather than applying a fixed protocol - drawing on whichever combination of these tools best fits your situation

WHAT TO EXPECT

What therapy for anxiety actually looks like:

We start by understanding your anxiety - not just the symptoms, but the roots. When did it start? What keeps it going? What have you already tried?

From there, we build a personalized plan. Sessions are 50 minutes, fully virtual, and held at times that work with your schedule. Most clients begin to notice meaningful shifts within the first several sessions.

You don't have to be in crisis to start. In fact, the best time to start is before things get worse.

Who I Work With

My anxiety clients tend to be adults who are functioning well in many areas of life, such as professionals, caregivers, students, and new parents, but who feel like they're always one step away from overwhelm. Many have tried therapy before and found it too surface-level. Others are reaching out for the first time.

What they have in common: they're ready to get help and find a new way forward.

Book a 15-minute discovery call to ask questions, share what's going on, and find out if we're a good fit.

Not sure you're ready for therapy? Start with something smaller - I've recorded a series of free guided meditations you can access anytime.
